The URP Computer Classroom is a technology-rich learning environment designed to support instruction in planning, GIS, urban design, data visualization, and related disciplines.

The 1,360-square-foot classroom features 30 computer workstations arranged to provide clear sightlines to the instructor while fostering an interactive learning experience. At the front of the room, instructors have access to an adjustable-height teaching station with multiple displays, dual high-resolution projection systems, and classroom management tools that support hands-on instruction and demonstrations.

Designed for both teaching and collaboration, the classroom provides students with access to professional-grade software and computing resources used throughout the planning profession. Whether learning GIS, creating maps and graphics, analyzing data, or developing design projects, students gain experience with the same technologies used by public agencies, consulting firms, and nonprofit organizations.

In addition to supporting Urban and Regional Planning courses, the facility is available for workshops, training sessions, and professional development programs. To inquire about classroom availability or rental opportunities, please contact planning@fau.edu.
